Glass House Restaurant and Bar is a hospitality concept in Kendall Square, Cambridge’s life sciences and technology district. Inspired by the neighborhood’s innovation and glass-making history, the branding concept was conceived as a nod to the area’s visionary identity. The multidisciplinary design team at Hacin + Associates designed the architecture, interiors, and brand for the restaurant, however the work shown in this portfolio focuses solely on the brand*. The branding work on this project included the overarching brand concept, naming the restaurant, designing the identity system, creating menus, business cards, gift cards, leave-behind items, a stained glass panel, wayfinding and exterior signage, and custom photography of models used in illustrative wallpaper and a 7-foot tall mural featuring in the main dining room. A minimal palette of colors with copper accents and custom-created environmental graphics with a retro, playful spirit form the identity and complement the architecture and interiors designed by other team members at H+A.
